The Utah Community Literacy and Writing Consortium (UCLAWC) supports and develops community literacy and writing opportunities through already established or emerging programs, thus providing mutually-beneficial outcomes for community member and Consortium students, faculty and staff.
The Utah Community Literacy and Writing Consortium (UCLAWC) strives to:
• Increase and enhance literacy and writing opportunities for all community members.
• Increase student involvement in civic engagement, service-learning, and internships.
• Provide resources and support for student-led community literacy and writing research.
Current members of the UCLAWC are programs in higher education dedicated to writing and literacy. Current members include:
• SLCC Community Writing Center
• SLCC Student Writing Center
• University of Utah Writing Program
• University Writing Center (U of U)
• Westminster College Writing Center
• Westminster College English-as-a-Second-Language Institute
